NYSERDA provides energy audits and feasibility studies that identify cost effective energy efficiency improvements that will lower energy bills, increase productivity and reduce environmental impacts.

Focus on Commercial Real Estate (CRE) is New York State's new business-focused solution to translate energy efficiency into higher asset value. Conceived in partnership with the real estate industry, Focus on CRE recognizes that commercial building owners are in the occupancy business, not the energy business. Through a simple, re-engineered process, Focus on CRE enables commercial building owners and tenants to achieve their financial and environmental objectives.
NYSERDA promotes continuous energy-performance improvements in hospitals and institutional markets. Programs such as the New Construction Program are designed to accelerate the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy resources in the design, construction, and operation of hospitals.
NYSERDA is continuing to help restaurant owners and managers of non-profits to find ways of reducing energy costs within their commercial kitchens, including capital purchases that reduce their energy and water use and costs.
The Gas Efficiency Program for Con Edison Commercial Customers helps eligible participants manage their gas costs and operate their facilities more productively and efficiently.
National Fuel’s Conservation Incentive Program (CIP) offers customers valuable information on energy conservation and real-time savings opportunities, including rebates for both residential and small non-residential customers and no-cost natural gas energy-efficiency services for low-income customers. With the CIP, residential and small non-residential customers in National Fuel’s western New York service area can receive rebates for buying an ENERGY STAR® rated programmable thermostat or replacing specified appliances with new energy efficient models.
NYSERDA promotes energy efficiency within municipalities across New York State. From street lights to water treatment, whether updating municipal housing for efficiency, converting a vehicle fleet to alternative fuels, or beginning new construction, NYSERDA has programs and funding suited for every municipality.
NYSERDA's residential programs are programs that work - programs that help homeowners and renters reduce their energy costs; programs that help multifamily building owners provide energy-efficient apartments for their tenants; programs that reduce the impact homes have on the environment; and programs that provide training to contractors on how to provide quality energy-efficiency services to their customers.
Through NYSERDA, K-12 school districts throughout the State can take advantage of programs that offer information, technical assistance, and financial incentives to make schools healthier and more productive learning environments for children and staff.
New York is one the most aggressive states in the Union for addressing issues such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, green building practices, and alternate fuel vehicles. NYSERDA is the organization responsible for coordinating and assisting agencies and other affected entities with their responsibilities under Executive Orders 111 and 142.
